Only parents or legal guardians with their own individual Parent Portal accounts may complete registration.

Please complete the following initial steps and paperwork to begin your student's enrollment process:

Step 2: Create a parent/legal guardian account on PowerSchool / Step 2: Create a parent/legal guardian account on PowerSchool

After receiving your verification email, you will need to create your parent/legal guardian account at bcsd.powerschool.com/public .

 Step 3: Full Registration / Step 3: Complete Registration

(A) Student Demographics / Student Demographic Data

• Birth Certificate : Original state-certified certificate (no hospital certificates) .

• Immunization Records : Must meet Idaho requirements. Provide updated records.

• Exemptions : Medical (physician- signed) or Religious / other (parent/guardian signed).  

(B) Student Address & Proof of Residency (Blaine County) / Student Address and Proof of Residency (Blaine County)

• Please provide: Two current utility bills or a utility lease AND one of the following:

  • ID (Driver's License/ State ID), Property Tax Bill, Lease Agreement, Notarized Affidavit, or Idaho Tax Return.

Please complete the following forms in your Parent Portal before the first day of school to finalize your returning student's registration.

Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal , navigate to the Forms section, then click the Enrollment tab and complete all required forms.

(Z) Annual Notice Regarding School Meals

• Parent Accounts: An individual account is required for every parent listed on the student's birth certificate.

• Legal Guardians: Each guardian must maintain a separate, active account and ensure that official legal guardianship documentation has been submitted to our registrar.

• Power of Attorney: If your student lives with an adult who is not a court-appointed legal guardian, a completed Power of Attorney for Student Needs form must be provided.

• Emergency Contacts: You must list a minimum of three (3) emergency contacts (excluding parents/guardians). This must include anyone authorized for emergency student pick-up or athlete transportation.

• Missing Documentation & Athletic Eligibility: Our registrar will contact you if your student's cumulative file is missing required documents (such as a birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, or a home language survey).

 Please note: Registration is not considered complete until all documents are on file. Missing documentation will result in athletic ineligibility, preventing your student from practicing or playing sports.

Troubleshooting & Document Upload Issues / Troubleshooting and Difficulties for Uploading Documents

• System "ERROR" Messages: If you see an error message on any form, please try refreshing the browser page a few times. Often, a quick refresh resolves the temporary glitch.

• Backup Plan: If the form continues to give you trouble, please take a screenshot of the completed form and email it along with your missing documentation directly to our registrar at porterj@blaineschools.org .

Important Form Status Check:

Please ensure that every form in your portal displays either a green checkmark () or a blue "pending review " status ().

Any forms without these marks are incomplete. Incomplete forms will delay your student's registration and will make them ineligible to attend school or participate in sports, clubs , or music until fully completed.
