I moved to the Wood River Valley, from upstate New York,  in August of 2010.  I took one year off to focus on being a mother to my then five-year-old daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed that experience and took every opportunity to volunteer in her kindergarten classroom. That is when I realized I loved working with children inside an educational setting. I began working as a guest teacher and found that I gravitated toward Special Education. After not too long, I accepted a position as a Special Education Paraprofessional at WRMS, for eight years. In 2019 I decided it was time to take the plunge and become a certified teacher in Special Education. I was thrilled to accept the teaching position here at WRMS. 

When I am not teaching, I spend time with my family and friends.  I enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, traveling, and attending my daughter's sporting events.  We have a hound dog mix named Buddy Love and a cat named Coconut, who keep us entertained.

I am looking forward to learning and growth opportunities for the students and myself in the new school year.

Me mudé al Valle de Wood River, desde el norte del estado de Nueva York, en agosto de 2010. Me tomé un año libre para dedicarme a ser madre de mi hija, quien entonces tenía cinco años. Disfruté muchísimo de esa experiencia y aproveché cada oportunidad para ser voluntaria en su clase de jardín de infancia. Fue entonces cuando me di cuenta de que me encantaba trabajar con niños dentro de un entorno educativo. Comencé a trabajar como maestra suplente y descubrí que sentía una inclinación natural hacia la Educación Especial. Poco tiempo después, acepté un puesto como paraprofesional de Educación Especial en la WRMS, cargo que desempeñé durante ocho años. En 2019, decidí que había llegado el momento de dar el gran paso y convertirme en maestra certificada en Educación Especial. Me llenó de entusiasmo aceptar el puesto docente aquí en la WRMS.

Cuando no estoy enseñando, paso tiempo con mi familia y mis amigos. Disfruto de acampar, hacer senderismo, esquiar, viajar y asistir a los eventos deportivos de mi hija. Tenemos un perro mestizo de raza sabueso llamado Buddy Love y un gato llamado Coconut, quienes nos mantienen entretenidos.

Espero con gran ilusión las oportunidades de aprendizaje y crecimiento, tanto para los estudiantes como para mí misma, en este nuevo año escolar.
